Shahbaz joined ISC in 2010 as an event steward and moved to the office in 2012 to work in the HR department, assisting with interviews and organising training for all workers. His duties also include monitoring the status of security officers’ licences, updating their records and also helping out with various HR duties and functions.
Shahbaz’s role as a steward has helped him understand the recruitment process, and the characteristics of a good steward, all of which are invaluable when interviewing potential new employees. His stewarding experiences also helps to link HR with all the other departments, and he often supports the operations department with events.
Shahbaz has a varied background, is qualified in business and marketing but he has also worked in sales, finance and administration. Shahbaz also holds an event day role as a steward.
